Lightfoot and Burne Families - U.K. to Australia

Mary Ann, born 21/7/1841, the 2nd child, travelled to Australia with her father Thomas and his other two children, Thomas junior and Rachel. Mary Ann worked as a servant at Eskdale, a farm on the Williams river, south of Seaham. The house still stands. She is recorded in the census of 21/11/1857. Mary Ann had an illegitimate son, John PYWELL, who was baptised 13/6/1858. At this time, she was a servant in Raymond Terrace. The father was John Henry HAWLEY.
Mary Ann married John CAMPBELL on 24/12/1862 at the house of Rev George JAMES, in Morpeth. They were then both living at Millers Forest; Mary Ann a Servant and John a Farmer.
Mary Ann died at the age of 97 in 8/4/1939. She is buried next to her husband in the Raymoind Terrace cemetery. All ten of her surviving children were present when she died.
